Beleaguered Britain’s Got Talent bigwigs are planning to reunite Susan Boyle with her beloved cat Pebbles in a bid to cheer her up. If all goes according to plan, the singing spinster will be surprised with a visit from the puss later this week, with daily visits from her feline friend to follow.
SuBo’s pussy has played a prime role in her highly public breakdown, with the Hairy Angel famously borrowing a mobile phone in an effort to talk to her fluffy little friend after the final of the TV talent show. “There is a plan afoot to reunite Susan with her cat,” confirmed an ITV insider. “It hasn’t been finalised yet and the preferred option is bringing Pebbles down to see Susan.
“If doctors don’t allow it, then Susan could be flown up to Scotland for a brief rendezvous,” continued the source. And it could be a goer. As far as we know, The Priory doesn’t have a set policy on pets. Indeed, if they’re battling with addiction and have enough cash in their little paws, we’d imagine they’re positively welcomed.
SuBo was said to be in good spirits yesterday after Simon Cowell called her to offer his “unconditional support”. “It was exactly the tonic that Susan needed,” gushed an insider.
“She immediately started jotting down ideas for songs to go on the album and even started to practice singing them. “She’s gone from an extreme low to an extreme high now she’s realised this hasn’t scuppered her one shot at success. Knowing that Simon is so concerned about her welfare makes her feel so much better.”
